| On the weekend of May 10th, Kass finished grouting the Laundry Room floor, and cut and painted most of the floor molding as well. Above left you can see the washing machine hookup and the dryer outlet which just needs a cover plate. Upper Right, Rick made a new window sill from a recycled floor joist, and cut the window trim for Kass to paint as well. Below is the light fixture we hung in here some time ago. |

| Here
you can see the Laundry room painted using the same color
as the attached Kitchen. We have the water fixtures
installed and we're ready to hook up the dryer as well! |

| Kass finished mudding &
texturing the Laundry Room, then primed it the weekend
after Thanksgiving 2007. |
| Over
the next week, Big Rick put up most of the sheet rock
after work while Kass stopped off at Home Depot and picked
up a pocket door to slide into the wall. |
|
On October 27th, Rick and neighbor Erin McCart built the wall between the Kitchen & the Laundry Room. ............................ |
| On
the weekend of 10-07 Kass began taping and mudding the
Laundry room. Above left, caught in the act!
Above right, all done as high as she could reach without a
ladder. :) |

On the weekend of Jayden's 6th birthday, we completed hanging the sheetrock in the Laundry Room. We also picked up a pocket door frame for the wall we will build between the Laundry Room and the Kitchen. |

Kass installed the incoming water lines with the new
tool her dad gave her for x-mas! |

| A quick view of the Laundry
area with new plumbing installed. We ran wires for
the washer & the refirgerator that will go just to the
left of this picture. The dryer will have to be done
another day as we don't have the wiring for that circuit
on hand just now. |

![]() After a trip to the
Rebuilding Center in SE Portland, Oregon, we found this
window which matches the existing windows nicely, right
down to the wavy quality of the glass! Not bad for
$35 and a two-by-four! <grin>
|
| Here we've decided to push
back the wall a little and put in a pocket door to close
off the Laundry area, and use some of the room for the
Kitchen. |
| The
previous owners walled off this section of the room and
created a bathroom. We plan on turning this area
into a laundry room. |
The
green cabinet is original to the house. We believe
this area was originally part of the room we are calling
the half bath. The door on the left took you into the
kitchen. |
