Half Bath

And here are some accessories!  Upper left the paper holder and a trash can.  Upper right the view from the throne shows the installed towel rack and a rug we found for the room.  Below a close up of the sink.

The Half Bath is DONE!!!! All that's needed are accessories!

Jayden insisted we have a purple room in the house, and we finally relented and let him pick purple for this room.  Ironically the name of the color is "Royal Throne"
...............................

Above Kass has finished priming the walls of the Half Bath in anticipation of painting it the color Jayden picked out for it last week.  His Grandma Pat is going to love this room!
Left you can see the textured wall Kass repaired where the sink will go.  And below is the sink itself with the faucet Rick found at Home Depot on their last visit on March 6th.

The plaster was too heavily damaged above the built in cabinet, so Kass continued the bead board look above it to tie in with the room!
..........................

A quick patch and after sanding and texturing, we can start priming this room for fresh paint as well!
.............................

Cleaning out the Den room we moved the toilet into the Half Bath where it will eventually go.  In the layers of saw dust across the top of the tank it reads "Wash Me". :)

Here we have the window for the Half Bathroom that Kassandra restored herself.  The glass is just a little smudgy from the glazing, but once the frame is painted and it's cleaned off, it will look as good as new!
............................

Ready for some action!
Here you can see the water and drain lines have been run for the sink, and an outlet and light switch will go in the electrical box above.

Cleaned up and ready to roll!
A sink in here?
On 9-10-2006 Rick cleaned out this room to prepare for converting it into the main floor bathroom.  We plan to put a toilet under the window and possibly a sink in the built in shelving at the other end if we can't find a pedastal or wall mount sink to fit in the small space available.  Below, someone's little helper popped his head through the wall he opened up.
Cheesey!

Smalle window in the half bath
Original Laundry hamper?
We thought this room used to be part of the Laundry Room. Originally we believe that this would have been a "Butlers Pantry". We plan on leaving the room "as is" and turning it into the Half Bathrom.
This built-in cabinet is original to the  house. The door on the right has been reversed to open into the Den instead of this room.  We're not sure why it was the other way.  One of those mysteries. :)
