.......................................
Pretty in Pink! The attic is now covered with R30 insulation. You can already tell a difference in temperature. |

On February 24th, 2008 we
ran some power through the breaker panel to test some ciruits and found
that the attic light works just dandy! <grin>

| Just a quick
update here. We've actually begun storing things in the
attic! Above right you can see some leftover tubing from our
plumbing work. Above left, the stairs access and a slight hole in
the floor we cut to do some wiring. We'll patch that up with some
lap boards we have that were salvaged. Left, the Attic light
fixture is installed and just waiting for electricity. Oh, and a
light bulb too. :) |

| Whith all
the work on the roof done, we swept up the Attic and began wiring the
2nd floor. Big Rick installed the stairs in the ceiling of
the Spare Room so now we can enter the Attic through there
instead of the Bathroom! To the right, we're building a box over
the recessed light in the Master Bedroom (left) &andwe're ready to
run
the chimney from the Kitchen wood stove to the Roof once it's ready. |

| A piece of
tin that blocked a hole fell in and
caused damage to the Bathroom and Living Room below |
Shot of the
back wall, the roof has been leaking here where the chimney was,
causing
damage to the rooms
below. |
View of the
front wall, the window is still intact, just missing a piece of glass. |
| Closer view
of floor for the left side wall. |
The right
side looks very dry and stable. |
| The chimney no longer protrudes
above the roof line. We had to take it down that far (for now) so
we could put on the new roof. A few bats and a mouse family were not
too happy with us. |
